I am a cultural and social historian of nineteenth-century North America, specializing on the U.S.-Mexico borderlands. My research examines the intertwined roles of gender, kinship, and nationalism among Anglo and Hispanic borderlands people situating the region’s history within its transnational and continental contexts.
As Assistant Professor of History at University of Pittsburgh at Bradford, I teach a broad range of courses on the United States in the world, Latin America, and Early American History. More information on my teaching can be found here.
